An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our friendly and enthusiastic Practice Development Team at Haven House Children’s Hospice. We support a wide variety of children, babies and young people with life threatening and life limiting illness with specialist nursing and holistic care. The Practice Development Team supports all our clinical staff to learn and develop the specialist skills they need to provide excellent care. As a Clinical Educator, you will be crucial to the delivery of hands-on training and education in the clinical area. We are particularly excited to develop our services to support children with Long Term Ventilation needs and are keen to hear from applicants with experience in caring for LTV children.
You will work collaboratively with senior nurses throughout the hospice to support delivery of effective, high quality and safe family centred care. The clinical educator will lead the continuing education, training and professional development for the nursing staff to promote the acquisition of new skills and knowledge. You will work closely with the Practice Development Nurse to develop and drive forward an education programme to ensure that nursing staff acquire the professional standards and competencies needed to deliver children’s palliative care. Your role will be key in the promotion of reflective practice, clinical supervision and experiential learning opportunities whilst developing a learning culture.
We are looking for someone with a passion for education and learning, we are open to flexible working, applications from anyone who has retired and would like to return to the workplace and experienced band 5’s as this post would be a good development opportunity both personally and professionally with support for Continued Professional Development of all our staff. You will be working within a supportive team, with access to preceptorship and clinical supervision. Flexible working arrangements are supported at Haven House.
